Back Story

Having formed his first band as a teenager in Liverpool England, recorded and toured across the UK & USA, James rediscovered his love of composition and recording during lockdown.

Creating a studio at home (aided by his daughters - who feature on several tracks) James was re-inspired by life at home, deviating from his rocky roots - incorporating a wider perspective on the world, to include addditional themes such as family, love, loss, politics and the 9-5.​

Now a singer & songwriter, soon to release a follow up album to 'First Dance' James' influences have developed with storytelling at the core, describing everyday challenges told with an authenticity in a world where its increasingly hard to tell what's real.

James remains an idealist, a romantic with humour at his heart. With acute observations of how life is and how he wishes it to be, his body of work covers the real, the mundane, the frivolous, articulating the pressures we all face, the suffering and joy, the excitement and all the experience that life brings. James is fuelled by what he sees and feels, and continues to strike chords with people who share these experiences across the world.
